29th May: PROTECTION OF MINORS AND VULNERABLE ADULTS:

On 29th May 2024, our principal  Rev. Sr. Marie Therese organized a seminar on the protection of minors and vulnerable adults, focusing on the child protection policy of the Cluny Congregation. The seminar was attended by all teaching and non – teaching staff. During her presentation, Sister emphasized the importance of adhering to the congregation’s rules and regulations and the importance of creating a safe and nurturing environment for all children and highlighted the congregation’s commitment to uphold the highest standard of protection for minors and vulnerable adults. Sister insisted teachers to provide equal attention and care to all children, refraining from using derogatory terms and avoiding physical punishments. Sister elaborated on various types of abuse that children might face, highlighting the need for vigilance and sensitivity. She underscored the critical role teachers play in safe guarding children’s well-being. To reinforce the commitment to these principles, all staff members were required to sign a declaration form affirming their dedication, not to engage in any form of child abuse and to firmly stand against it. The seminar served as a reminder of the critical role educators

play in safeguarding the well-being of the students entrusted to their care.
