At the Salem District Youth Championship 2026, our boys; basketball team secured third place, while our girls; basketball team achieved fourth place, bringing pride and recognition to the school through their outstanding performance and sportsmanship.
In the Under-16 State Youth Basketball Championship 2026, Pavishka secured second place, while Harish Kumar achieved fourth place, showcasing their exceptional talent, dedication, and sporting spirit.
Cricket Champions Shine at South Zone-1 Championship 2026
Our students made the school proud at the CBSE South Zone-1 Cricket Championship 2026, held from 30 July to 6 August 2026 at Kalvi International Public School, Nagari, Madurai.
In the Under-19 category, our talented girls showcased excellent skill, determination and team spirit, securing 2 Gold Medals and 2 Silver Medals. Adding to this achievement, an Under-17 student won a Bronze Medal.
These remarkable accomplishments are a testament to the students’ dedication, hard work and sporting spirit. We proudly congratulate all our young cricket champions and wish them many more victories in the future!
A Grand Victory in Karate
Our students brought great pride to the school with their outstanding performance in prestigious Karate Championships.
At the All India Karate Championship organised by S.S.K. Goju Ryu Karate, our students secured 2 First Prizes, 3 Second Prizes and 3 Third Prizes, along with the Overall Championship title.
In another remarkable achievement, our students participated in the 4th International Karate Championship held at Ooty, where participants from several countries competed. Representing the school under the guidance of their coaches, our students won an impressive 98 prizes – 38 First Prizes, 33 Second Prizes and 27 Third Prizes, earning the Overall Championship title and bringing glory to Salem.

Our Under-19 Basketball Team showcased excellent skill, teamwork and determination at the KIOT Tournament held on 10 August 2026.
With a spirited performance on the court, our team emerged victorious in the decisive match and proudly secured Third Place in the tournament.

We are delighted to share that Dhanushri K.L. of Grade 12, Cluny Vidya Nikethan, Salem, secured the Special Cash Award in the “Voice of Students” Independence Day Speech Competition organised by KSR Educational Institutions.

Bharat Scouts and Guides Enrollment Ceremony 2026
The Bharat Scouts and Guides Enrollment Ceremony 2026 was held at Cluny Vidya Nikethan Sr. Sec. School, Salem, on 19 August 2026 with great enthusiasm.
The programme commenced with the Flag Procedure, Colour Party Welcome and Honour, followed by the lighting of the Sacred Lamp and prayer.
Students presented vibrant cultural performances and showcased the year-long activities of the Scouts, Guides, Cubs and Bulbuls.
The newly joining Cubs, Bulbuls, Scouts and Guides were formally enrolled and took their respective promises.
The Rajya Puraskar Awardees and Golden Arrow Award recipients were honoured for their outstanding achievements.
The Chief Guest and school dignitaries inspired the students to uphold the values of discipline, service and responsibility.
The ceremony concluded with the Vote of Thanks and National Anthem, leaving everyone inspired by the spirit of scouting.
It was a memorable celebration that encouraged every young member to “Be Prepared, Do Good and Serve Better.”
